Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We can never go back to the way things were before November of 2020. Infighting and political posturing pulled focus away from where it should always be, on your quality of life. We’ve moved passed those days and the results have been amazing. In these past few years, we’ve made more progress than ever before and made sure your tax dollars are working for your benefit.
*First off, I voted to reduce your township taxes by 6%, AND more of your dollars were spent on things that improve your quality of life at the same time,
*We’ve invested more into roads and sidewalks than ever before. Including:
- 23 Mile Rd widening was completed
- Garfield was completed to 23 Mile Rd and the extension to 25 mile will be completed this year.
- Romeo Plank widening to 23 is scheduled to begin next year
- Broughton is set to be extended and 21 & Heydenreich will be improved thanks to $8 MILLION we lobbied for and received from the state.
* We invested more in our parks.
- $1M was invested in improving all of our parks in 2022-2023
- Pitchford Park was completed this year
- Lucido River Park was added in 2023
- Our parks have never looked better!
All of this and more was accomplished without raising taxes! In fact, your board and I actually CUT TAXES and still managed to make improvements throughout the community.
